alignholes

alignholes produces files with information on the alignment holes and alignment stars on a slitmask, for use by the IRAF telescope/instrument alignment program ialign.

USAGE
 alignholes -o observset [-b binning]
INPUT
 observset.obsdef  is the applicable observation definition file
binning is the binning to be used in reading the ccds. Assumed =1 if not given
OUTPUT
 observset.sub     file specifying subrasters
observset.align        input file to alignment program
PARAMETERS
padding
 padding (in pixels) around apertures in subrasters


Details:

The observation definition file must describe a setup for direct images, not one for spectroscopy.
