The MORPHS collaboration is a group of researchers using the Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 of the refurbished Hubble Space Telescope to study the morphologies of galaxies in distant clusters. The collaboration consists of: Alan Dressler and Gus Oemler at OCIW, Warrick Couch at UNSW, Richard Ellis at Caltech, Bianca Poggianti at Padova, Amy Barger at the IfA, Harvey Butcher at FRNA, and Ray Sharples and Ian Smail at Durham University.
The full Morphs sample consists of 11 clusters spanning the redshift range z=0.37-0.56. The clusters were all imaged with WFPC-2 in either F702W or F814W, as well as additional bluer passbands for some targets. Nine of the fields are centred close to the cluster cores, the remaining two fields (marked as #2) are of regions in the outskirts of the clusters. More details of the clusters in the sample and our observations are given in the table below and also Smail et al. (1997a).

This table gives the links to the various catalogs and images of the
clusters in our sample. All files are provided as uuencoded gzipped
FITS, ASCII or Postscript. Full details of our analysis and the
contents of the catalogs are given in Smail et al.
(1997a). All the information provided here will also appear as
part of the AAS CD-ROM series. `Full Catalog' contains the photometry
catalog of all objects detected within our fields using the SExtractor
image analysis package, including colors where available.
`Morphologies' gives the catalog of the morphologically-typed
subsamples from each cluster, the positions of these objects are shown
in `Finder'. Finally, we provide links to the reduced WFPC-2 images of
all the clusters. Further information about the format of the Morphology and Full
catalogs can be found by following those links or in this Postscript document. TAR files
containing the complete ASCII tables of the entire Morphological and
Full samples are available here.

Marcel Bergmann
has queried the accuracy of the photometry
in Cl0024+16 - the cause of this is being looked into (6/10/98).
There are also files describing the format of the various tables. For
the Full Catalogs of all clusters imaged in F702W, all clusters imaged in F814W except Cl0024+16 and for Cl0024+16. For the Morphological catalogs there are format files
for all clusters imaged in F702W and
F814W. Note - the photometric zero
points used in these catalogs are from Table 9 of Holtzman et al (1995) and we use the Zobs values for F555W/F814W
and Zsyn for F450W/F702W.
The spectral catalog for galaxies within the 10 clusters of the MORPHS
sample can be found on this page.
The data presented here include positions,
photometry, redshifts, spectral line strengths and classifications for
657 galaxies in the fields of the 10 clusters. The catalog comprises
424 cluster members across the 10 clusters and 233 field galaxies, with
detailed morphological information from our WFPC2 images for 204 of the
cluster galaxies and 71 in the field. Full details of our analysis and
the contents of the catalogs are given in Dressler et al.
(1999).

Software to convert these FITS tables to ASCII is available within
IRAF/STSDAS (strfits and tdump) or here.
``True'' color images of three of the more distant clusters imaged as
part of this project are available for
Cl0016+16, Cl0054-27 and Cl0412-65. These are large GIF images
and are probably best viewed by downloading and then manipulating the
image with XV or a similar utility. There are also two mosaics of
spectroscopically confirmed members of these clusters at a high stretch and a lower
one. Additional images may be available here
We wish to thank Ray Lucas at STScI for his enthusiastic help which enabled the
efficient gathering of these HST observations. We also thank Dr E.
Turner for kindly providing his WFPC-2 imaging of Cl0024+16 for
inclusion in this dataset. The information presented here is based on
observations obtained with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope which is
operated by STSCI for the Association of Universities for Research in
Astronomy, Inc., under NASA contract NAS5-26555.
