Welcome. स्वागत. Bienvenue. ברוך הבא
I am a Hubble Fellow and Carnegie-Princeton Fellow at the Observatories of the Carnegie Institution for Science.
Currently, my research interests are three-fold. I enjoy discovering and following up optical transients from the Palomar Transient Factory , particularly in the gap between novae and supernovae. I am also pursuing a systematic search of the variable mid-infrared sky in the local universe. With the era of routine gravity wave detections with advanced interferometers round the corner, I am preparing to search for their electromagnetic counterparts.
I completed my PhD in Astrophysics at the California Institue of Technology in April 2011. My thesis topic was Bridging the Gap: Elusive Explosions in the Local Universe and my advisor was Professor Shri Kulkarni.
